Why
carry the R&R Beadbreaker
We at Safari 4x4 have been travelling Australia for over ten years
and have experienced our fair share of tyre problems so we know
how much of a pain it can be.
Whilst
at shows and fields days demonstrating tyre repair equipment,
so many have told us the circumstances of how, where and when
their tyre problems caused them stress and inconvenience.
Taking
in this feedback and our own experiences we have developed comprehensive
tyre repair kits to meet the needs of bush travellers all over
Australia. We are confident our kits contain a quality range of
products to cover all repairable tyre injuries.
Carrying
two spare tyres mounted on rims and ready to go means you have
two chances. This doesn’t sound so good when you’re
out the back of Bourke. It’s not uncommon to have two flats
at the same time, so fit your spares, then what?
Panic
or get
out the map and satellite phone and find which direction you are
more likely to get help from and hope you get there without further
problems.
However,
having the ability to repair a tyre on the roadside gives you
many more chances of continuing on with your travels.
Let’s say we only get two fixes out of each tyre with our
standard five tyres, that’s ten flats before we have a problem.
Add
just an extra tyre without arim and you have another couple of
chances and you’re not carrying the extra weight (or expense)
of a second rim/wheel carrier etc.
Hint:
A great spot for your second casing is strapped to your existing
spare on the back door or carrier.
