Breaking the bead

To break the bead simply push the foot of the Beadbreaker between the tyre & rim as close to the inside of the rim as possible then push the bead down past the safety ring (or down off the lock ring on a split rim) once having lubricated the exposed area release the tension & continue this around the rim until the tyre comes away from the rim. The R&R Beadbreaker anchors to the centre of the rim & pulls from the rim to the rim.

Refitting the tyre

The R&R Beadbreaker & Tyre Refitting Tool holds the bead down & directs it into the well of the rim whilst at the same time applies tension to the opposite side of the tyre. With the tyre in this state as the bead is fed over the rim by the operator it uses its own tension to pull into the well. The operator will need to apply very little effort to evenly feed the tyre over the rim with the hooked ends of the tyre levers. The last part where the tyre is normally the tightest on the rim the R&R Beadbreaker & Tyre Refitting Tool is disconnected then slid back allowing the bead to slip onto the last landing once it is there the tool can just be lifted as a third lever and the tyre will slip onto the rim . It can not travel back up the ramp. This method will eliminate damage to the bead.
